5-STAR COACHES
5-Star Coaches are top of the line with a full range of features. All coaches are less than 5 years old and have full features that focus on passenger safety and comfort. These features include:
- Extra wide front entry steps. Non-slip tread in stairwell.
- Lap and sash seat belts
- Airline style toilet and washbasin
- Reclining, wool fabric seats with folding armrest on the aisle side
- Grey double tint windows to reduce glare and increase UV protection
- Air conditioning which provides a 'climate controlled internal environment' in all conditions and creates fog free windows
- Extra high floor level for passengers' improved viewing
- Ducted floor heating
- Video or DVD player
- TV monitor screen
- CD player
- Side front and rear doors for easier boarding and disembarking
- Kneeling all round
- Extra large baggage storage
- Dual public address system
All of our 5 star coaches have either 49 or 53 passenger seats and have Scania chassis. Some of the safety features of these chassis include ABS brakes, disc brakes, full traction control, full air suspension, 5 emergency exits, speed limiter. All 5 star coaches have Euro III engines contributing to a greener New Zealand.
