Why choose Pavlovich Coachlines?
You have loads of choice when moving groups of people, but if you are the group organiser you might want to make sure safety is a primary focus for your decision. For us, it’s our primary objective, to transport you safely and on time to your destination.
AVERAGE AGE
- Our Tour Coach fleet has an average age of 5 years
- Our City bus fleet, has an average age of 4.8 years
- Over our total fleet of 67 buses and coaches, our MEDIAN age is an extraordinary 4.5 years
Age is crucial in your decision to hire; improved safety, reliability, comfort, security are some of the tangible benefits that you will experience. Less tangible, but crucial to many transport organisers is the better image and “feel good” factor associated with traveling in a modern and appropriate looking vehicle.
VEHICLE EMISSION STANDARDS
Amazingly in New Zealand, there is no mandatory testing for emission levels. So at Pavlovich, we do our own.
With our extremely young fleet, it would be easy to do nothing, but we insist on actively improving our environmental impact. So we monitor and test each vehicle each year. In doing so we:
- Identify excessive engine wear
- Ensure our contract compliance
- Reduce fuel consumption
- Ensure exhaust smoke is dramatically reduced
On top of this, virtually all our vehicles exceed Euro Emission standard 3. Many now exceed Euro 5, the highest available in the commercial diesel engine.
SAFETY
New Zealand law requires a safety inspection every 6 months. At Pavlovich, we exceed that minimum requirement by a huge margin. With fully equipped workshops at both our sites, manned with our own fully qualified mechanics for 6 days a week, we leave little to chance. Coaches are safety inspected at least every 2 months, while buses undertake a full safety inspection more regularly once a month. Drivers must, on a daily basis perform a rigid pre-departure inspection of each vehicle covering off safety items such as lighting, tyres, fuel system, indicators and passenger comfort features.
EVENT AND FUNCTION SUPPORT
Often, we are a key stakeholder in your transport task. We can supply on ground dispatchers tasked to manage the logistics of parking, loading and dispatching. The larger the function, the more challenges communication presents to us all. An in house Radio Telephone network, complete with spare radios for you, are available for a small additional cost.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING
We have a comprehensive policy, that includes mandatory screening pre-employment and post incident. Specifically, should any of our drivers be involved in a motor vehicle crash, or cause third party damage, an immediate screening process is implemented.

Cam Mehta. Ski trip to Mt Ruapehu. August 2009.We had a very successful garden bus tour over the weekend, and we wanted to commend Roger, who made a fabulous contribution to the experience. He was so friendly and helpful, and made the bus tourers feel very welcome, as well as being professional in his preparation for the driving route and parking. We would highly recommend him and your luxurious coach!
Penny. November 2011.You were incredibly professional, punctual and always courteous and friendly to me and all the attendees at the Harvey Norman Conference. You simplified what was a logistical challenge to me into a streamlined and well run operation of transfers. I am very grateful for all your efforts.
Rhonda Hendicott - Lead Organiser of the 2011 Harvey Norman Conference - Over 800 delegates in Auckland from 22-30 May 2011.I wanted to take a chance to write and pass on our praise for Riki. He certainly is 'one out of the bag'. Our farmers from Australia were singing his praises! On our final night we invited Riki to accompany us for an evening meal, the evening turned into an invaluable lesson of the Haka for the males in our tour party. They soaked up the culture and really got into the spirit of things. Riki is more than a coach driver, he is a true asset to have on tour, his knowledge and love of our country is immense, and his great personality had us all in stitches of laughter regularly!
