PRESS RELEASE Auckland’s largest New Zealand owned Coach and Bus Operator, Pavlovich Coachlines Ltd, today hosted the Mayor of Auckland, Phil Goff in officially opening their new transport depot in Westgate, North West Auckland. This 1.2 Hectare site is strategically located only 1400 metres from the planned terminus of the North West Interim Busway currently under construction. Over three years in planning and construction, the new site provides housing for over 100 buses and coaches and all associated services. CEO Bernard Pavlovich commented “The impending large scale capital investments by Auckland Transport into the first stages of the long overdue NW Busway also require significant capital investments from their bus operator partners to provide for the buses, drivers and depot facilities to support the long term infrastructure. This extremely important facility will provide an ideal base for the impending Western Express (WX) bus service commencing in 2023 and has been designed to allow for a full transition to Electric Buses to align with Auckland Transport’s decarbonisation goals.” Did you know? After 21 years Pavlovich Coachlines is getting a brand new, purpose built depot! It will have room for all of our public transport fleet as well as the touring coaches when they are not out on the road showing off NZ – around 100 vehicles in total. Ground was broken in May 2021 with the current completion date estimated to be around mid-late March 2022. Can you name all 3 towns/cities our driver Marty visited last week?
…you could say our drivers get some pretty good travel perks… Congratulations Emirates Team New Zealand!!! We were very happy to assist with transport for the Christchurch parade yesterday. Lucky Daryl (our lead driver - South Island)! Look at what he got his hands on while escorting the team down south.....percs of the job! |
